Affinity Sutton is a national housing association, with 57,000 properties across over 120 local authorities. With in depth research into their users and requirements, Affinity Sutton knew who to come to for production of their customer portal. At Mentor Digital we conducted and produced user research exercises on key customers, produced functional prototypes for the portal and completed produced the finished product for the portal itself. Within this time we ran extensive user testing exercises to finalise key interactions and validate our findings.
With the research and understanding that came from the early stages of the project, it became apparent that a large proportion of the user base will be on mobile or tablet devices. This was due to the vast majority of users not having access to a desktop device. From here our efforts focused on these experiences, producing a truly mobile first experience.
