WWU operates the gas distribution network of the National Transmission System in the Wales and South West England regions of the United Kingdom. They came to Mentor as they felt their old website had served its purpose and needed to connect to their ever growing audience. They also required a website that could inform their indirect customers on gas safety, but also act as a ‘life saver’ by providing up to date gas risk alerts and maintenance schedules.
At Mentor we produced extensive user personas, user stories and responsive wireframe prototype, which would be further developed and utilised for numerous user testing sessions. Allowing us a direct line of feedback throughout the process to cater the new user experience to the varied user base. The site was also developed from the ground up to be completely mobile first, as the site in the end would be utilised by not just its customers, but it’s staff and engineers.
